Greetings Members,

On behalf of the BEAC committee, we just want to give a quick update on where the club currently stands.

First, I hope everyone is keeping well during the very strange times being experienced by Australia and the rest of the world. The Prime Minister has now set out a road map for our journey out of isolation. We will be guided by the rules and their interpretation by the Premier of NSW and hope that we can soon gather in the numbers we usually attract, then we can plan a recommencement of activities. I’m sure everyone is looking forward to getting out for a run and catching up with each other. We will post any further updates on the website.

For those with existing cars on the Historic Vehicle Scheme, Registrar Rob Stenvert is still handling the renewals while still maintaining the social distancing rules. You can either post a COPY of the pink slip plus the ORIGINAL Historic Vehicle Declaration form which came with your renewal and a stamped return address envelope to – Rob Stenvert, 91 Boardman Rd Bowral 2576, OR if you wish, you can drop the same in his letter box. For any further information regarding the Historic Vehicle Scheme, email Rob at – [email protected]

Remember to fill out your logbook if you take your car out and you MUST be a financial member.

We look forward to a resumption of our club outings, until then, keep safe and healthy.

17th May 2020

Due to the escalation of restrictions caused by the corona virus and the vulnerability of our members to the virus, effective immediately, the committee has reluctantly decided to suspend all BEAC runs until further notice.

I realise this will be disappointing to all of us who look forward to the great socialising generated by the Wednesday runs, however we need to be realistic about the danger.

Those with cars on Historic Registration and are participating in the 60 Day Log Book Scheme can still take their cars for a run but remember to fill out the logbook before you leave home, and you must be a financial club member.

Membership fees for 2020/2021 are due by March 30. Treasurer Fred Edney will accept bank transfer payments or a cheque (made out to BEAC of course).

Keep safe and healthy and let’s hope things can return to normal soon.
