Club History
The British & European Automobile Club (Southern Highlands NSW) Inc. was formed in 2006 by a group of enthusiasts to cater for the ownership, preservation and operation of British & European vehicles, with a strong emphasis on those vehicles built up to the end of 1975. The Club has a large diversity of Classic Vehicles. Amongst the Marques represented are Rover, Jaguar, MG, Triumph, Sunbeam, Citroen, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Mini, Austin & many others.
Club Membership
If you enjoy good comradeship and have an interest in older vehicles, why not come along to a Club run and see for yourself? All visitors are most welcome. Membership Fees are $50 per annum, and currently there is no joining Fee. Membership or other enquiries should be sent to: email: info@beac.org.au postal: BEAC, P.O. Box 1020, Bowral NSW 2576 or Tel: (02) 4883 6919
Club Meetings
BEAC is slightly unconventional as there are no formal monthly meetings, other than the AGM which is held during the month of April. There are a minimum of formalities, while the club is operated by the Committee under the necessary requirements and Legislation for Incorporated Clubs in New South Wales.
Club Events
The Club Committee arranges a program of runs around the Southern Highlands and occasionally to more distant destinations. Our runs are normally around 60 kilometres and end at a café for coffee, late morning tea/early lunch and ‘noggin & natter’. Occasional BYO picnics are held in the warmer months.
Conditional Registration
As we are affiliated with the NSW Council of Motor Clubs and accredited with the NSW Roads and Traffic Authority, members are entitled to participate in the Conditional Registration Scheme, which enables members’ historic vehicles to be registered (with certain restrictions) at greatly discounted rates for registration and third party insurance. All vehicles over 30 years of age (with certain restrictions) are eligible for this scheme.
